Meet Daniel Abrahams, Search Associate
Prior to joining On-Ramps, Daniel spent 3.5 years working with Michael Page International, a multi-national executive search firm. With Michael Page, Daniel helped build, and ultimately became the manager of, the Public Accounting division. His recruitment focused on Directors and Partners within the Transaction Services practices of the "Big 4." He often worked internationally, recruiting candidates with expertise in both IFRS and US GAAP to translate accounting standards for transactions with cross-border interests.
Presented with an opportunity to volunteer overseas, Daniel accepted an assignment through the Foundation for Sustainable Development to live and work in Kenya for 5 months. In Kenya, he developed a pilot-program to build greenhouses as an alternative income for impoverished fisherman along the coast. The project was designed to mitigate damaging overfishing by increasing potential livelihood for fishermen through non-traditional methods. Environmentally and economically, the project has been a resounding success and plans are already drawn to build additional greenhouses. Recently, he was in Costa Rica researching the critically endangered Leatherback Sea Turtle. Daniel received his bachelor's degree from Quinnipiac University and was an outfielder on their Division I Baseball team. He now lives in the East Village in Manhattan and is actively involved with many environmental organizations. |
