Apply for this Role

The Daniel W. Offit Fund to Fight Glioblastoma is a nonprofit dedicated to advancing glioblastoma research and therapies.

About the Organization

Daniel W. Offit died in 2021 from glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), the most common and deadliest form of adult brain cancer. To date there has been little progress made in identifying a cure for this disease, with the average life expectancy after diagnosis being around 14 months. Dan was revered by his family, friends, work colleagues, and within the educational institutions he led and supported. Dan's legacy is his unwavering moral compass, inspiring leadership, resilience, kind heart, and sense of humor. Despite having lost his own fight, we know that he would want us to continue harnessing the deep network of relationships that were formed throughout his treatment, with the ultimate goal of curing glioblastoma.

Dan's family established the Daniel W. Offit Fund to Fight Glioblastoma as a public charitable fund within Offit Capital Advisors in 2024. With guidance from our Scientific Advisory Board, which includes leaders from the fields of Neuro-Oncology, Immunotherapy, and Life Sciences Investing, we will allocate every dollar that we raise in Dan's memory to fund research and therapies that have the most viable path to a cure for Glioblastoma. You can learn more about us at our website.
