ABOUT THE POSITION:

The Vice President, Regional Development plays a critical leadership role in ensuring that our client’s regions nationwide catalyze their communities to end educational inequity by strategically seizing opportunities for revenue growth and cultivating public/private sector champions. Our client’s regional offices raise 75% of the organization's annual operating funding, totaling over $150 million this year and growing to more than $300 million in 2013. The Vice President, Regional Development will manage a team of managing directors and directors who co-own regional development goals and also design and provide all learning and development to the fundraising staff across the regions. The ideal candidate is an exceptional relationship builder and manager, a strategic thinker, with the ability to synthesize data and information across a broad base, identify trends and marshal resources to effectively manage projects in a matrix structure. Prior experience with revenue management and product development preferred.

The Vice President, Regional Development will report directly to the Executive Vice President, Growth Strategy and Development and work closely with regional executive directors and teams and the chief operating officer and her team.

Responsibilities:

Manage and monitor fundraising activity across all regions, with special emphasis on providing quarterly reviews and deep dives on individual regional performance as well as trends across the group

  • Partnering with others on the growth strategy and development team and the Chief Operating Officer and her team to ensure that regions meet their annual development goals and are positioned to grow their impact
  • Partner with the IT team to roll out a new CRM system to the regional development staff and ensure that the new data capture and reporting activities are effective and efficient
  • Providing the best training, tools, best practices and other resources the regions require to meet their development goals
  • Manage three to four direct reports and overall team of up to 10

This role will require regular travel (approximately 2-3 site visits to our regional offices per month).

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum of five to seven years of work experience preferred.
  • Prior revenue management experience is a plus
  • Prior product creation/product management experience is a plus

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Salary for this position is competitive and depends on prior experience. In addition, a comprehensive benefits package is included.
